BlackRock Acquires 47,746 BTC Worth $4.5 Billion as Bitcoin Surges Past $100K, Surpassing U.S. and China Holdings

Blackrock surpasses USA & China

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings with acquisitions totaling approximately $4.5 billion. The firm recently purchased 682 Bitcoins valued at $69 million, building on a prior acquisition of 47,064 Bitcoins worth $4.44 billion.

These strategic purchases were made as Bitcoin’s price consolidated around the $95,000 level. In a bold move during this period of relative price stability, BlackRock acquired 47,064 BTC, solidifying its position as a dominant institutional player in the crypto market.

Shortly after this major accumulation, Bitcoin surged past the $100,000 mark, underscoring the growing influence of institutional investment on market momentum. Following these acquisitions, BlackRock now holds more Bitcoin than the combined reserves of the United States and China—a historic benchmark in the evolution of Bitcoin adoption at the institutional level.
